Hi Annie

Replication Server supports the replication of encrypted data as well as supports SSL encryption over the network.  The following is a link to the SRS 15.7.1 sp302 admin guide that discusses replicating encrypted data.

Replicate Encrypted Data - Replication Server Administration Guide Volume 1 - SAP Library

Hi Terry,

Thank you.

So we don't have any other recommendations specific for fully encrypted database beyond this.

I’ve tested:

  • Replication from an encrypted DB on Linux with iso_1 char set to another DB on Windows utf8 encrypted with different key.
  • Replication from an encrypted DB on Linux with iso_1 char set to another DB on Windows utf8 encrypted with different key.
  • Replication from an encrypted DB on Linux with iso_1 char set to another non encrypted DB on Windows utf8.

All 3 looks good.

Correct.  We are basically a user inserting, updating and deleted the data into the target database based on the encryption that has been setup and using the correct key.
