Dear all,
we often ship material with vessels and we have difficulties with route determination for those kind of cases. Normally route includes only working days, so weekends and holidays are excluded from it. This is ok for truck shipments but not also for vessel shipments (vessel continues it's way for example from Europe towards N. America also during weekends and/or holidays). Due to the fact, that only working days are considered in the route, we have incorrect routes in sales orders for vessel shipments. That consequently means incorrect picking or delivery date in sales order.
Is it possible to determine special routes, in which weekends and holidays are included?
Thank you very much for your help!
Kind regards,
Katarina
yes , this can be done by maintaining a different factory Calendar( with no holidays or as per your requirement ) for the shipping point during the route determination .
i haven't tried this but i think it can be done at SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions > Scheduling > Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling > Define Scheduling By Shipping Point
Thanks

yes, this can be done by maintaining custom calendar/s. The calendar should be configured according to the work days. I think the calendar should be attached to the customer master / vendor master so when the route determination occurs it will look at the calendar and propose the days accordingly thanks, Venkat
Hello Katarina,
Yes, its possible to derive different routes and maintain different working calendars by customer. Below link will help you to undestand the complete logic.
