Low Level codes sequencing backwards

Hello all:

We recently are sending full BOMs and Routings to APO from ECC.  We are using PDSs in APO.  When I run low level codes before my heuristic, I see that the low level assignments are in reverse order.

What I expect to see:

Finished Good  - Low Level 0

Subassembly    - Low Level 1

Raw Material    - Low Level 2

What I am seeing instead:

Finished Good  - Low Level 2

Subassembly    - Low Level 1

Raw Material     - Low Level 0

Because of this, I'm getting supply shortages on all levels except the Finished Good.  It is processing the subs and raws and then processing the finished good which has the new forecast on it, so when this forecast is passed down, the planning on the lower levels was already done and does not happen again, resulting in supply shortages.

Does anyone know why this is happening?  I used to only have finished goods interfaced from ECC to APO, but now we are needing to use full SNP planning functionality so this is necessary at all levels of the BOM.  I first run Pegging Creation and then Low Level Codes and then Heuristic.

Thanks in advance.

Andrea

Hello,

In PPDS you can use heuristic SAP_PP_020  for low level codes.

For more details please refer OSS consulting note    1796417 - FAQ: Composite SAP Note for determination of low-level code in APO (PP/DS,SNP)
