Materials not clearing out from storage type 922

Hello,

For every posting changes in IM, a posting change notice is created in WM.

We have auto TO creation indicator created which gets populated in pcn.

Batch job runs with program RLAUTA11 in background and is supposed to pick up all the pcn's

with auto TO indicators and create TO's.

Some pcn gets processed, however many pcn's are unprocessed in background with message in job log as

"Whse number aaa Posting change notice XXXXXXXXXX.

When we process the same pcn in foreground we do not encounter any error and system creates TO without ant issues.

As process is set for background TO creation, and due to above message many pcn's are left unprocessed with stocks getting dumped in 922.

Not sure the reason of erratic behavior of the background program, creating TO's for some pcn's and not for many of them.

Please let me know the solution on priority.

Are the specific posting change notices that fail for a specific storage type(s)?

In other words is it working for some storage types but not others?

What are the posting change notices for exactly? ((change of material status or something else)?

Some storage types may be set to not allow mixed status inventory so the second step to move the stock (with new status) will fail leaving the stock sitting in 922.

Hi Prakash,

While you are trying to create TO in the foreground, do system requires any manual intervention before creation of TO such as an warning message; pop-up; confirmation from end user; etc..

Because if there are any manual intervention required, then system would not create automatically via background job which would be the cause here.

To further find out the exact reason, I would request you to activate mail control which would trigger a mail on why exactly automatic TO creation fails, please refer KBA 1572908 for further information about this settings.

Hi Prakash,

When you are creating TO against PCN in foreground is system automatically taking source bin or are you having to select bin manually while TO creation ?

System automatically picks SUT, source and destination bins while creating TO in foreground.

If there was a temporary lock then you will never know about it if you have not activated the mail.

I really wonder why this customizing of automatic postings is only done half by so many people, what do you safe by that? You have already spend more time into the analysis than you had needed to set it up.
