Synchronization in Hub approach

Hello Experts,

We have a scenario where we have two operational SAP ERP production boxes are up and running, Say for Country 1 ERP & Country 2  ERP. On other side SAP MDG is installed separately as Hub based approach. Here ...

1. How will we ensure that our country specific configuration from ERP systems are interfacing with MDG system ?

2. Then once data start moving from MDG to operational ERP systems how will we ensure that data will go to country specific ERP system?

There are various options to synchronize ECC data to MDG. You can use Solman for the same. Run the job every day or depending upon requirement so that all the configuration is in place.

2. Then once data start moving from MDG to operational ERP systems how will we ensure that data will go to country specific ERP system?

- From functional point of view, I would suggest to create different CR types and then in the CR type, add the target system which will ensure that the country specific data is passed on to the specific ERP client. You have to configure SMT mapping anyway.

you can build the country specific replication models.

Hi Deepak,

You need to implement the local system BAdi(IF_MDG_IDM_GET_LCL_SYSTEM).Based on the country, assign the Business system to local system parameter.

Hello Bala,

this not correct. The local system ID does NOT depend on any configuration whatsoever. If you need to implement the BAdI, the safest way is to follow the example implementation.

Hi Deepak,

Its a common scenario with single MDG system and multiple ERP operation systems in practice.

We have filters concept in MDG thru which you can direct the data routing process based on logical systems and master data as well.

We have local system BADI under DRFIMG config, To populate and determine key mapping details and that helps in routing data.
