App cannot access the seed file info

Hi,

We have an inhouse app which will take the app configuration info through Afaria.

And we are started to get the error message "Afaria cannot access the seed file info"

Please let me know what can be done.

Hello Bala,

Would it be possible to send us screenshot of configuration page from the application you are trying to onboard? Also can you specify device type? Is it an iOS or Android? What version of Afaria server you are on? Do you have any other apps that work in your Afaria system?

Thanks for your reply.

Please find the screenshot of the configuration page, we are only using iPads which are on 9.2 version.

Our system is on Afaria 7 SP4 hotfix 19, no we only use one inhouse app in afaria.

Hello Bala,

Can you please confirm the iOS version of iPads? iOS 9.2 is not supported due to managed application issue. This issue has been corrected in 9.2.1. Please ensure that the iPads are running 9.2.1

Hi Sejal,

Even we tried it on 9.2.1 that did not work, sometimes if we restart the application then it picks up the configuration file and some times it doesn't.

Is there anything that we have to check why this is causing this issue, its not network issue or anything before it use to work we started having this problem recently.

Hi Bala,

When you say sometime restarting the application picks up the configuration, do you mean Afaria application?

Can you please list the exact steps that you take? What version of the Afaria client being used? Would it be possible to provide iOS device log for review?

Hi Sejal,

When we restart both the apps it works, and the Afaria client Version: 6.60.6620.3

I am happy to provide you with the device logs, but for some odd reason the test devices we have will not install afaria and the custom app on them.

We tested the same in other devices in customer location the apps gets installed without any issues.

Is there any other info that i can help you with?

Hi Bala,

This is not a known issue as of yet so device log and/or server side log needed to understand the cause. Would it be possible to for you to open an incident? In the incident you can provide information to enroll and one of us(Afaria support) will enroll our test device and will collect the device log. If needed we will provide addtional server side debugging.
