SAP PI - ITK (Integration Tool Kit) Alert Issue

Hi All,

We are using Integration Tool Kit (ITK Jobs add on to SAP PI/PO) to integrate Ariba and ECC systems. All the ITK Jobs e.g. Full upload, Incremental Upload, Full Download & Incremental Download are working fine in ITK. However, we are facing issues with ITK Alert system (Integration Tool Kit).

If any ITK Job fails we are not getting any Alert triggered by the jobs. All other regular Alerts for PI end to end interfaces are working fine. Any information or help on this is highly appreciated.

HI Vishnu,

You scheduled the ITK jobs in Java Scheduler (nwa) right? So if the job fails , does your message fails as well.

If the PI message fails at adapter or mapping level, alert will generate, so if job fails leading to message failure an alert will be generated.

you are right we are scheduling ITK jobs in NWA.

But we are not getting alerts.

is there any check points to configure the alerts.

if it is normal alerts, we can check the same in Alert Inbox or SOST.

if it is related to ITK job alert, where we need to check the whether alert generated or not?

Can you please go to the job definition where this ITK job is scheduled and post screen shot of parameter tab?

Hi Vishnu,

adding to the above, I can propse on one work around.

You can use SAP PI file adapter to pick the file and write the ITL shell script with the file adapter. In this case even if it fails you will get standard PI alerts.

For scheduling you can schedule the channel.

Vishnu you should be able to check the jobs in the backgrond job monitor in NWA.

Hello Vishnu,

When you say ATK,You used the standard contents and ARIBA adapter for integration correct?If I am wrong ignore the below comments.

The alerting mechanism in this case will be normal like other scenarios.

Make sure the channels and interfaces are added in the alert rule.

Hi raghu,

we are using ITK jobs to pick and drop the files in NWA.

when ever job schedules, it will pick the file from SAP and it is placing in ARIBA.

we are not using adapters.

Here we are not getting Alerts when Job failed.

Hello Vishnu,

I dont think then this possible with normal alerting as you need have some message failure to trigger alerts.

In case if something fails in ITK where do you check?
