DEPENDENTCUSTOMERDEMAND

Both the key figures DEPENDENTCUSTOMERDEMAND  and DEPENDENTCUSTOMERDEMANDDS are at the same level of PERPRODLOCCUST. As per the documentation, DEPENDENTCUSTOMERDEMAND is the outbound customer demand, but if both the key figures are at the same planning level, what is the best way to interpret these key figures in a planning view?

Hi Sanjeev

DEPENDENTCUSTOMERDEMANDDS - if you notice KF name is ended with DS (Downstream). The technical names of the downstream key figures usually end in “DS”, which stands for “downstream”. Dependent Customer Demand is the Downstream Key Figure corresponding to the Upstream Key Figure Outbound Customer Demand. All Downstream Key Figures are input key figures to the SCM Operator.

Read the section related to "Upstream and Downstream Key Figures" from here - SAP Integrated Business Planning - SAP Library

Additionally DEPENDENTCUSTOMERDEMAND is  "Outbound Customer Demand"-  The prefix “Outbound” emphasizes the direction in which this demand is propagated: it is propagated from a customer demand towards own locations(I=like DC) and therefore coming outbound from a customer demand.

Hope this will help.

Thank you
