Making categories Mandatory while posting threads, bogs etc

Dear SCN Support,

We would like to know, how to make the 'Categories' mandatory while posting  a thread or blog in SCN Forum. For example, in SAP Solution Manager forum, , we would like to make the category selection mandatory for anyone posting a thread, blog, documents etc. The moderator of this space is of the same opinion. Could somebody from SCN Support help us with this?

To be realistic I don't think that this is going to happen for two reasons

SCN is currently on Jive, and Jive does not have this wanted feature as you can read in the jive forum: https://community.jivesoftware.com/thread/273732

and the second reason is that the space concept will be replaced by tags anyway when Jive gets replace later this year, see:
