Hi Gurus,
I see an issue in scheduling in the Planning Board Resource Chart -- when a number of orders are selected together using control key and then dragged and dropped together. Although there is sufficient slot(capacity) on the date in which they are being dropped but still some of the orders move to next or subsequent days which is weird. Although the scheduling direction is forward with reverse but still if there is space at the place where the orders are dragged and dropped then it should not move to the next day.
If we drag and drop orders individually rather than selecting a group--then it works fine.
Please suggest if you see any possible cause for this behavior.

Hi Learner,
This can happen due to consideration of activity relationships, maximum intervals, and/or fixed/dynamic pegging in the Strategy Profile. Please, play around with different strategy settings as this often gives indication on why a given order could not be scheduled at the requested date/time.
Other than that, please, check in the Planning Board Profile whether for Drag&Drop action the assigned behavior is "2 Frame Tracks Determine Time Position and Target Resource". If that's the case, the relative position / distance between the selected orders will be kept upon rescheduling.
Additionally, if you have an implementation of BAdI /SAPAPO/CDPS_FDISHEU and change the value of field USE_ARG_MODE to '2' in method CHANGE_STRAT_BEFORE, this could also explain the behavior.

Tiago

Please check if OSS note 1458626 - Moving several graphical objects incorrect is valid for you.
and 1446430 - Gaps when several graphical objects are moved collectively
