disable Navigate to web address on SAP BC 6.0 search bar

hi all, we are using SAP Business Client 6.0 and when the finance users try to go to transaction code f.01 it displays and error message saying Unknown Host "Description: Unable to locate the server named "f.01" --- the server does not have a DNS entry", its basically using the Navigate to web address feature on the search instead of starting a transaction with f.01, is there some way we can disable the "Navigate to WebAddress" on the SAP BC search bar .

Hi Jonu,

You can enable the start transaction without validation check in the personlize settings.

Also you can disable the search provider for desktop, which is probably the one causing these issues.

All this can be done in a administrator configuration file

Hi Jonu,

Basically it bypassed the search providers, so it always assumes that you want to use a transaction code as your primary action. Normally it will first do a search until it has validated that the transaction code you have entered is in fact a transaction code. It takes a split second, but enough to launch a desktop search or try to use the browser if you just write the transaction code and press enter immediately after.
