CHECKDB blowing TEMPDB

I recently upgraded my PI 711 to SPS14 and also did SQL 2008 to SQL 2012 SP2.

Since I've done that, my Saturday weekly CHECKDB after 30 minutes fills my TEMPDB and drive. It grows to 60 gigs, then it runs out of space.

The database is 160gb is size and 10gb free space.

So just this morning, I killed the scheduled Job and manually kicked off DBCC CHECKDB WITH NO_INFOMSGS

I sat back and in 15 minutes watched the TEMPDB grow until no more disk space.

So my question is, should I allocate more space at TEMDB to see if it can get by or is there something else at play here?

Just to note, I do not believe any jobs to check the DB integrity were ever done before I scheduled it.

I tied again with a PHYSICAL_ONLY and worked fine.
