IDM 8 SP1 error retreiving Job Log in eclipse

Hello IDM Guru's,

We are currently running IDM 8 SP1 on an Oracle db and applied the latest patches to the different components.

After the install it is not possible to read the job log anymore from eclipse.

Other logs (execution, ...) are retreivable.

The job log is viewable in the admin UI without any errors.

I've been able to find a possible cause in the developer logs but I cannot find out where or how to solve this.

[EXCEPTION]

java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00904: "L"."JOBGUID": invalid identifier

Has anyone ever seen something likely and eventually an idea how to solve it.

I don't have this problem anymore with SP2 on DB2. SAP Development also confirmed to me that they had solved the problem. Don't forget to update the Eclipse plugin as well...

Hi Laurent,

This may be a bug in SAP NW IDM in combination with Oracle DB.

I am running SAP NW IDM 8.0 SP1 with MS SQL and do not have any issues.

Thank you for your reply.

It is my first idea as well but never know somebody has the same issue and eventually solved or found a workaround.

I've opened a support request at SAP and will keep the post updated with the comments from SAP.

Anyone else seen this before?

Hi Laurent,

we updated our IDM yesterday to the latest patches that came out in February and i have the same problem as you do.

We are running on a SAP ASE database but my error seems to be the same. I didn't find a workaround but please keep me posted if SAP finds a solution...
