Dear gurus,
We developed Invoice by smartforms.
This form is used in different country as standard format,
then printer in each country is different.
Now we are facing that in some printer, bottom of form is going to next page
and not fit into 1 page.
In PDF preview, it display without any problem.
Is there any way to solve?
We tried printer driver's adjustment already, but it didn't work well.

Hi Yoshi,
you are using the printer (I guess LOCL) with G Front End Printing with Protocol Tech.
My experience is, that's not the good solution.
Each printer in SPAD has it's own device-type, so the SMARTFORM can create a document depending on the special features of the printer defined by the device-type.
The SAPWIN is a general device-type that can not control printer-specified features like font, font-size code-page printer-control e.g. tray selection etc.
With the special device-type (delivered by SAP for the most popular printers) you can use the same form for different printers.
If you are using always the same printer-type it makes sense to create a printer in SPAD with the correct device-type.

Hello Yoshi,
You can try to do the below setting in tcd:SPAD for the problem printers.
SPAD- enter the output device name->ouptut Attributes->Vertical Shift -5mm
Pls check if the print result will be better.

Jie,
Thanks for your feedback.
But, our programmer said because this is front-end printing, vertical shift
setting should not be touched.
Here is our setting.
- Device type: SAPWIN: MS Windows driver
- Device class: Standard printer
- Host spool access method: G Front End Printing with Protocol Tech
- Host printer: __default
- Horizontal move: 0mm
- Vertical move: 0mm
We tried to adjust by Windows's printer setting, but cannot adjust well.
Yoshi
Our printer is HP Laser Jet 1606dn.
I downloaded latest driver, but result was same.
After I test in several ways, I noticed that
- Printer size: Letter
- Resizing option: Print on A4 with "Fit to page" option
With above setting, it will work fine.
But I really no idea why Printer size has to be letter,
nevertheless actual paper size is A4 and smartforms specified A4 as format too.
