Do we still need ADS Java in S/4 HANA?

Hello guys,

can everybody help me to understand if in S/4 HANA installation we still need to have an Java instance with ADS in order

to use Adobe Interactive Forms?

Hi Fabrizio,

Did you find any answer do your question ?

sap note 2292571 - SAP S/4HANA output control - technical setup says that "ADS is part of S/4HANA, hence a license is only needed for interactive forms. Print forms are included in S/4HANA. See SAP Note 750784" ....

and that is pretty much all I could find.

We are running S/hana 1511 FPS02 and there is no trace of ADS on our server, could not find any documentation ...

For those who are asking themselves the same question :

YES. you need a J2ee at least 7.31 engine to support ADS on S/HANA

Ok... but does ADS mandatory to print SD orders, PO orders, etc. ?

Hello

As far as output management in S/4HANA is concerned  , please read SAP Note - 2228611.

There are many frameworks and services like BRF+ ,Fiori mentioned.

Below extract from the same note talks about migration..
