Issues with Reposity Object Sync

Hi Experts,

We are implementing GRC 10.1 SP10 and after a month or so of successfully running the initial repository sync, now we are facing an issue where the job would take like forever to complete. For instance, it took more than 5 hours to run a full sync for only 112 users 1,406 roles (full sync). We have applied all the notes listed in note #2253834 - Repository sync collection of corrections, but the issue persists. We have not been running the repository sync job for a while, which may be part of the problem, but still full sync should run just fine and would argue it must not take this long to complete.

Please advise if you have faced this issue and would know how to fix this/ what else should we need to check.

Thanks,

Sajib.

Hi Sajib,

At initially we have to run Full sync job, once the full sync is done please do Incremental sync.No need to do Full sync every time.

Thanks, Rakesh. But consider the scenario of running the full sync weekly. Also, I forgot to mention, even the incremental syncs were taking long to complete. Didn't get to completion on foreground and canceled after running for more than an hour on the background.

Sajib.

The FULL sync is required after importing roles into GRC for provisioning.  Do not disregard the FULL sync.  Your weekly schedule for this job is fine, but you will also need to perform it after each role import.

Thanks, Ken. That is right, however, we are not implementing ARM/ BRM as of now, so we are only concerned about the repository sync job.
