Hi,

By putting deletion flag in all sales areas or perticular sales areas we can make a customer not to allow for transactions.We cannot remove customer master data from database permanently.

Hi Vijay,

we can only mark the customer for deletion(vd05) this can be done for a particular sales area or for all the sales areas.

Hello vijaya bhaskar,

Customer Master :Work closely with Customers, Sales Reps, Credit and Customer Service Reps (CSR) to add, change or delete customer Sold-to, Ship-to, Bill-to and Payer information in SAP. Coordinate regular data scrubs to ensure the most accurate data is maintained in SAP.

Unfortunately it is not as simple as that. If you want to delete the

customer master data completely you will need to setup an archiving

project because you will also need to delete every single document, or

piece of data which references that customer as well e.g. all invoices,

orders, financial documents etc. etc.

If you do not do this then your system will be inconsistent and will cause

you problems if you try and view any documents which are linked to that

customer

If you could give us a bit more information as to why you actually want to

delete it, then we may be able to offer alternatives to complete deletion

e.g. just setting the deletion flag.

‘Since customer master record is also involved with the finance team..you need to contact them as well..I think you can flag it for deletion by using the transaction vd06,,,

Go to the VD06 and block the particular customer or you need to Go to VD05 from easy access menu and there you will find the deletion of customer.

Hi,

you can set the deletion flag for the customer.Go to XD02-Extra-Deletion flag.

You can do it for all or particular sales area.

Or use Tcode VD06
