Batch required in product master - ERP not

Experts,

I have several products in ERP, all without batch mangement required flag.

Today I ciffed them first time - in EWM, all these products have the flag (so batch is required).

Question is - why the flag is set? Any ideas?

Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael,

At which level batch management is activated in ECC? to work with batch management integration between ECC & EWM, maintain the batch level at plant in ECC.

Please let me know , where you find out the batch requirement flag in EWM.

Hi C K Reddy,

batch level is plant in ECC.

in material master (ECC) flag is not set (either MARA or MARC).

Only in EWM (/SAPAPO/MATKEY) it's activated?

Hi Michael,

I hope you are observing with transaction /SAPAPO/MAT1 in properties view right?

/SAPAPO/MATKEY is a table in EWM and not relevant to batches.in EWM batch table is /SAPAPO/VERSKEY.

Hi,

Please get help of technical consultant to check the  Badi : /SCWM/ESI_IDNACT_BATCH,either it is activated in EWM?

This BAdI uses the interface /SAPAPO/IF_CIF_ENH_BATCH in EWM.

And also check the function module : /SAPAPO/CIF_BATCH_INBOUND

Hi C K Reddy,

nothing activated - I also think this is "too" late.

The Badi is for manipulating the batch itself (when ciffing from ECC).

Also the function is for the batch...

But my problem is the step before - the product. It has different master data than the ECC master data.

Hi,

How many systems are connected to your EWM ? check through the Business system group.

Got it!

Problem is - we have to modify CIF function modules in ERP (as we are on plant level, EWM needs material level for batches).

We only had one plant in EWM, now we have the second one and forgot to modify function to check.

Forget my question, problem is our modification, damn!

Thanks a lot for your help!

Regards

Michael
