Query's on IBP

Hi Experts,

Am new to IBP. Can anyone help me on my Doubts.

a) What is IBP and what is it different from BPC&IP.

b) What is the prerequisite knowledge for IBP.

c) How many modules we have in IBP.

c) What client can get befit from this tool.

Hello Gowtham,

Here are my inputs:

a) What is IBP and what is it different from BPC&IP.

--> SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) is a HANA based cloud solution for planning Supply, Demand and Finance. I do not know much about BCP and IP but I think BPC is only for Finance planning and IP is BI based tool for planning.

b) What is the prerequisite knowledge for IBP.

--> You basically need knowledge of supply chain planning for the processes like Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization etc.

c) How many modules we have in IBP.

--> As of now there are four modules:

    1. IBP for S&OP

    2. IBP for Supply

    3. IBP for Inventory

    4. SAP Supply Chain Control Tower

c) What client can get befit from this tool.

--> Any customer who wants to do Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization for a cloud based product powered by HANA.

Thanks for the email. What is the difference between APO and IBP and what is the Reporting tool for this? Is it Bex or EPM Add-on?

Where can i get the books? What is the book names&Codes?
