Authorization for P_RUNTIME (ECC 6 EHP 7)

Hi All,

We have upgraded ECC system from ECC 6 EHP 3 to EHP 7. Now for many existing transaction codes, the access is failing and the ST01 trace/SU53 log is showing P_RUNTIME object as the failing point with P_APP_ID = SE38 if the user is using SE38.

This P_APP_ID field is showing the missing value as the tcode being executed that time.

I cannot see P_RUNTIME in any role in the system, not even in SAP standard roles. It only exists in SAP_ALL.

How the things were working earlier and why all of a sudden this object is being called for so many transactions?

Please help urgently.

Thanks

Shiwani

Hi Shiwani

Please do not tell us it's urgent as SCN is mostly volunteers helping each other. If urgent, then you need to go through formal support channels.

Could it be that it's a new object that was introduced between EHP3 and EHP7 or activated to be used? It might be related to personas

What did the object help documentation tell you?

Note may help: 2276155 - SAP Screen Personas 3.0 SP1+2: Disable Personas runtime completely in case no authorization exists
