Hi All,

I am new to BEX. I awant to create a universe on top of Bex Query.

I tried to create a connection in Universe Designer but not able to find the specific driver.

So tried to create a connection on IDT,

I tried to create a OLAP connection, but no sure which driver to select.

can some one help me to use correct connection.

I need to create a universe based on a bex query (Single source).

My doubt it, which connection i need to create, OALP or Relational???

Can some one suggest the steps to create a universe on top of bex!

Note: Using Business Objects 4.1 Environment

Thanks.

Kumar,

    You will need to create NEW Relational JCo Connection to the BW datasource.  It will flatten your OLAP datasource.

see below

Selected a Relational Connection-->sample connection name-->selected SAP Java Connector(SAP JCo)-->entered the credentials/parameters-->

I want to see the BEX Query here not the Info Provider

Hi,

In IDT you can not create the universe on top of BEx query.

either select "SAP BICS Client" driver and go for BICS connection. It is a OLAP connection.

other option is go for the UNX universe which is relation universe but with this you have to select the CUBE/DSO/MultiProvider.Mulitsource universe is not supporting BEx query.
