Authorizations for viewing payload of messages on Java stack

Hi All,

I have a scenario where we need to suppress the payload for one of the Interface so that it isn't accessible in any monitoring tools.

I followed below blog by Michal, but I am having issues when I have to extract he .ump.

Has anyone implemented it and can help us here.

Thanks,

Pragya

Hi Pragya,

You can use any ZIP tool (7-Zip or equivalent) to unzip and zip back "sap.com~com.sap.xi.mdt.actions.ump".

Hi Pragya,

Yes, we have implemented this mdt stuff for authorizations.  What is the trouble you are facing when extracting the .ump?

Thanks Ryan.

We were able to add the actions file to the ump which is now a normal folder.

How to I go back to create an ump file and then ear file out of it to deploy on the server.

Thanks,

Pragya,

  1. Zip required folder content into a ZIP archive using your favourite ZIP software;
  2. Change extension of a produced archive from *.zip to *.ump or *.ear, correspondingly.

Thanks Vadim.

But changing the extension doesn't change the type of the file.

Is that ok?

Thanks,

Pragya

Yes, that is OK, Pragya. They differ from generic ZIP archive by having specific structure and content, but technically, they can be manipulated using ZIP archiving tools.
