Afaria GPS Provider Setting

Hi Everyone

We have a requirement to keep the GPS location service enabled on a deployed device. I have tried to enable this by setting the SAMSUNG SAFE Enable GPS Location Provider setting to yes but it does not work.

A user is still able to simply turn off GPS by going to the pull down bar and clicking it there.

I noticed that there is no restriction policy for location/GPS. Is this the reason why?

Is it possible to prevent the device user from turning off the GPS location service at all?

Dear Riaz,

You can restrict the user to change the settings on the device so that the user cannot modify the GPS locations.

Go to Config Policy ->Samsung SAFE -> Restriction Policy -> Disable "Allow Setting Changes".

This way you can block the user to not to modify the GPS locations.
