Multi Resource Planning by PPDS Optimizer

Hi Expert

Does PPDS optimizer plan multi recourses as I have many alternative PPM (PPM1 , PPM2 .PPM3 ) with different resources ?  

Kindly advise with the setting in optimization profile to cover this need ?

Hello,

During optimization, the system loads the multiresource up to the value of the capacity defined in the optimization profile.  Refer OSS FAQ note 1374824 FAQ - Order Creation PP/DS Optimization

and SAP help link Constraints for Optimization - Optimization - SAP Library

Also you can use Multi Resource scheduling heuristic which works with alternative modes and alternative PDS/PPM

Hello,

At the moment I don't have PPDS optimizer available in my system.

Did you check optimization profile /SAPAPO/CDPSC5 Capacity Change tab ?

Are you including all the resources in the same variant for optimization in /sapapo/CDPSB0 ?

Dear Rami,

The system considers the alternative resources according to the procurement priority of the PPMs or PDS. The system automatically

converts this priority into costs, so that PPMs or PDS with higher priorities are considered first. The costs of the original resource are

defined by the system as lower than the costs of the alternative resources, so that this resource always has the highest priority for

the optimizer and so that the system uses it completely first.
