add JAVA repository with ABAP system as data source

Hi experts,

I am quite new to IDM and I have a question regarding the user maintenance in IDM for SAP Portal systems. In a current solution I added  portal systems as new repositories to SAP IDM 7.2 and prepared the provisioning tasks and jobs.

Now, the portals use an ABAP system as data source for the users (but as well as the UME). After initial load the users in IDM were updated that exists in the UME with corresponding privileges and some system specific attributes. The portal users with source "ABAP" are not getting updated.

What do I need to change to allow the administration of these users too via IDM?

I assume, I could copy the users to UME database.. but maybe there's an smarter way?

Hello Richard,

I think I understand what you are asking here.  The users for IDM need to exist either in UME or in Active Directory with UME/Portal set to interface with it.

I believe there's documentation for connecting IDM to UME in the section,
