Create 2 notification messages with the same Message Class

Hello Experts,

I have a query. I have 2 stages in my access request.

1. Role Owner

2. Security

I have 2 different templates for both the stages. Now my problem is I have a single message class available to maintain the notification template with message class 000 available. So, now I need to understand if we can manage to create 2 different messages for the same class with message number 000 and 001.

Any inputs are welcome.

Regards,

Vandana

Hi Vandana,

Message class would be specific to event for which notification should be sent.

Example: Approved, Rejected, Closing, New Work Item, Forward and Return

So, if you want to send different notifications for Manager and Role Owner, since you already have two templates created just assign them to message class.

Message Number doesn't make any difference.

Which is the event for which you need to configure notification? (Approved, Rejected, Closing, New Work Item, Forward and Return) ?

Madhu.

Hi Madhu,

Thanks for taking time out for reading the article.

I have the below use case.

1 path: New Account

2 stages: Role Owner + Security

Scenario: Request Approved

Now the problem is I have 1 event template ID GRAC_AR_APPROVED and the 1 message class for the same. Even if I create the another template ID the message class has to be the same. So, we need to create a new message number for the message class for having 2 different template IDs for ROLE OWNER and APPROVER stage to have different text.

Please let me know in case the you got what I am looking for.

Dear Vandana,

you can create additional message classes via SM30 table GRFNVNOTIFYMSG. Further you have to include the new message class in the MSMP configuration.

Hope this helps.
