Not to creat Product Warehouse Task with Q-Stock

Hello everybody,

I am the beginner in EWM. Maybe my question will be a little bit funny for you.

Nevertheless, my question is following:

Is it possible not to create product WT when the stock in Q or B?

I post GR in ERP (stock in Q), in EWM I get the the stock in Q.The next step: I create product WT (tr. /SCWM/ADPROD) and here business asks me to forbid the creation of WT with Q-stock.

Is it possible to create standard error message? If yes, how?

Hi,

I do not think there is any standard setting which would make it possible to prohibit the creation of a WT because the stock is Q stock. Because why would you want to do that?

There is a BAdI "Termination of Warehouse Task Creation", guess you have to look into this one.

I want to do it because of business's request: Prohibit creation of WT when posting change for an appropriate storage bin.

Is there any standard error message or I need to create Z-message?

Are performing any material movement for that Q stock in EWM.

or It is just changing the status of stock type ?

I create product WT manually to transfer product from one storage bin to other. But the stock is Q- stock. Why does system let me to create WT? Is it possible to create error message?

What WPT system is determining ? Once you create inbound delivery in EWM ?

You are using standard WPT or Custom ?

You can see it under item tab & click the switch to form view .

What I have understand from your requirement is you don't want WT for posting change.

If that is the case do the below settings for WPT 3040 .

Posting change in Bin shall be blank as shown.

The settings for WPT 3040 is the same. But WT is created when stock type is Q. Why?

Hello Catherine,

You said you don't want to create WT for Q Stock i.e quality stock right .

It is nothing but the posting change .

So in your case you have to deactivate your WT creation for PCN.

But if I deactivate WT for PCN, I deactivate all posting change, don't I? Is it possible to deactivate only when stock type is quality? Or maybe there is any error message?
