I received a xml file from our 3PL vendor, from xml file, how can we know the idoc number generated in ECC?
Hello Joling,
If your searching for inbound IDOC,
1. Get the message ID or some details from XML.
2.Search for the message in SAP PI based on the details in run time workbench, you should be able get the IDOC XML.
3.Get the idoc type and idoc number.
4. Go to WE02,search for IDOC type and IDOC Number you can find the IDOC.

Hi Jolin,
Go to we02 or we05, and based on time, check the inbound IDOC.

Hi Jolin,
If your scenario is XML --> IDoc then you can match Message IDs in PI and in ECC to get the corresponding IDoc, assuming you have single stack installation. Also you can check using PI NWA > SOA > Monitoring >PI IDoc Adapter Monitoring
AFAIK in dual stack installation, messages in SXI_MONITOR (PI) route you to the corresponding IDoc in ECC via RFC. What type of installation do you use ?

Hi,
I believe your scenario is from File to IDOC.If we want to check the IDOC number in ECC
Go to SAP ECC -> Tcode:we02 then in inbound check IDOC number for your corresponding IDCO type.
