Oracle 11.2 Disaster Recovery Set-up

Dear Experts,

One of our client wants to setup Oracle DR for production system.

System Configuration :

ERP Release      :  EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0

OS                         :  Windows Server 2012 std.

DATABASE          :  Oracle 11.2

Method                 :  Implementation of configuring log shipping using oracle database

RAM                      :  16 GB

we have decide will going to following method :

Install separate system and configure cron jobs for log shipping from Primary PRD to standby server and then apply it to database with cron jobs only.

Please suggest step by step process of above method.

What is the RTO and RPO? Everything else depends on these 2 factors.

Thanks for reply but our client is not suppose to use  Oracle data guard. Only one method want i.e., Install separate system and configure cron jobs for log shipping from Primary PRD to standby server and then apply it to database with cron jobs only.

Kindly suggest step by step process of above method.
