How to evaluate Difference from based on the Date Input control

Lumira has nice calculation features like Difference from, Moving Average, Running totals based on the existing dimensions. However, I did not find for the Input control.

Let’s say user selected for the Sales for the date range from 1/1/2016  to 2/15/2016, Bar chart will show bar for that Range. And I need to show 1 more bar for the same date range but for last year, i.e., 1/1/2015 to 2/15/2015.

What if the user selected current month in the Input controls, Is there any way we can calculate for the Previous month and Next Month, Similar to Difference from for the Existing Dimension Values.

For Example, User selected January , then provide measure values along with Decemner'15 and Feb'16.
