Hello Hangyun,

there is no such functionality in ECTR to define your own assembly. The structure/Bill of Documents is usually derived from the structure in CAD. What we do similar to CV11 is the creation of "folders". "folders" are Documents with a Bill of Documents, which can have items.

What is your intention?

Hi Gerhard

Thanks for your response, I want to use the document structure to link Material, and create BOM, we have many 2d drowings in our CAD, but there is no structure of them, can we set up the structure of 2d drowing by CAD?

Regards,

Hongyun

Hello Hongyun,

our AutoCAD (2D) integration has capabilities to extract "components" from AutoCAD and link them to Material Masters (even if the 2D drawing is a single, flat file). We can then also derive a BOM for such a flat 2D drawing without having the Document Structure in between.

Does this make sense for you?

What CAD are you using?

Regards,

Gerhard
