How to export attributes list in an analytic view (show details)

I am seeing a list of attributes  spanned for multiple pages in the metadata management for an analytic view.

Is there an option to export the list to an excel sheet?

Thanks

Annie,

This kind of reporting capability is very average (read limited) in IS.  We developed a custom universe as there are issues with the standard reports (asks for IS Repository user id/ password which we don't give out) and are limited to lineage and impact from a small number of use cases.

About to start enhancing this universe to report on HANA information views and can let you know relationships when finalised if you're interested.

I have raised a number of enhancement issues in the ideas space (https://ideas.sap.com) to enhance reporting.  Only last week I raised an idea (D31695) that is similar to what you want.  Depending on if and when this is implemented, your use case would be similar.

Until then... a universe over the IS repository is probably your best bet.

regards

Adrian

Not directly, but there is a workaround:

  1. Add the object to the Object Tray.
  2. Select it in the Object Tray and Export to CWM.
  3. Download it from the Export List.
  4. Open the generated XML file in Excel, remove the colums you don't need and save as .xlsx file.
