How do we propagate the service users into different systems?

Hello All,

I am confused of the way SAP had given in SAP Help, the procedure of propagating the user into different systems. Can any one please explain me how can we propagate the service users into other systems? How other systems can recognizes the service users from XI server? Do we need to log onto those systems and add them or as soon as we integrate other systems, the XI will communicate these users for data exchange? How does it work. Hope I didnt put the question in wrong way.
