Action on campaign e-mail hard bounces

Hi!

Is there any action possible for customers/e-mail addresses that hard bounced (not existing e-mail addresses)? Will system try continuously send e-mails to those addresses?

Hello,

No, in case of an hard bounce, the corresponsing facet of the interaction contact is set to invalid and thus no further emails will be sent.

Is it documented somewhere, how this process exactly works?

These bouncers will remain in the target group and will be set as invalid during a campaign execution or will they get in a category of missing marketing permissions?

We tried in 1508. The bouncers remained in the target group and we noticed that the email address gets deleted.

Bouncers indeed remain in a target group, you have to exclude interaction type "EMAIL_BOUNCE_HARD" in your segmentation model, if you want to remove them.

Otherwise e-mail is set to "invalid" and email will get a "marketing permission missing" error and email won't be prepared.
