Financial Planning tab -- View chart options - can we configure more options?

Hi All,

I have entered information in Financial Planning tab for Bucket.

I am tracking Cost related data as well as Revenue related data.

I see a button at the top -- View Chart -- and I get just one option -- Top Down Plan vs. Proposed Plan

Can we configure this to get additional options like e.g. Top Down Cost vs Top Down Revenue, etc? If yes, please let know the IMG path.

Regards

Ashwini

Hello Ashwini,

This is the relevant customizing:

SPRO
> SAP Portfolio and Project Management

> Portfolio Management

  > Global Customizing

   > Portfolio-Dependent Settings

    > Define Financial Capacity Settings for Portfolio Types

      (specifically node "Financial Charting Groups")

You can find more information about this in topic "Usage of Financial Planning" in the online help documentation:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ppm50/helpdata/en/4a/e1864066d822afe10000000a42189b/content.htm?frameset...

Thanks Francesco for your response, I have done this. However my question is whether you can customize this.

e.g. I have multiple Views (from the Category-Group-View). The "View Chart" button shows all the views  - see the screen shot

I need to set up specific views which can be compared

Instead all the Views are shown up for comparison. How can I set the specific views I need ?

e.g.

1. Actual Cost View vs Top Down Plan

2. Actual Cost View vs Proposed Detail Plan

3. Top Down Plan vs Proposed Detail Plan

4. Planned Revenue vs Proposed Detail Revenue

Hello Francesco,

I have set up the following charting groups.

I added one more group (chart group 1 - fin view 9) for "test"however even that doesn't show up as a separate chart in View Chart option

I want the "test" to show up as second option. Not sure if I am not having correct expectation.

Hello Ashwini,

In this customizing you need to assign each pair of views for which you want a chart to a "chart group".

E.g. if you want to have two charts "Actual Cost View VS Planned Revenues" and "Actual Cost View VS Proposed Details Revenue" you could maintain the following entries:

Chart Grp.   Fin. View     Financial View Name

1                2                 Actual Cost View

1                3                 Planned Revenue

2                2                 Actual Cost View

2                4                 Proposed Details Revenue

(note that the first two entries are assigned to chart group 1 i.e. the first chart, the other entries are assigned to chart group 2 i.e. the second chart)

Best regards

Further question -- Are we supposed to configure only Top Down Plan and Proposed Detail Plan as per the options in View Chart button?
