Hi All
We have a scenario which we are trying to model in IBP Supply Planning system .. following is the scenario..
Product A at the Market is forecasted .. however this product at the plant is sometimes produced as Product A and if Product A cannot be produced it is produced as Product B .. The Forecast from Product A is substituted to Product B ..
So the requirement is .. when the demand from Product A is placed at the Plant the Plant should see a substitution demand at Product B and when the Plant would produce Product B the deployment should substitute the receipts to Product A at the Market..
Standard SAP Interchangeability has known limitations to substituting while deploying .. in one of the calls SAP claimed that IBP has a mechanism to handle this .. we are trying to model this in IBP supply .. Has any one come across this scenario or does anyone has a idea how to model this in IBP supply
Regards
Chirag
Hi Chirag,
Please refer the help link on how to model product substitution in IBP-

You may also want to check the below thread on product substitution at particular customer/location within supply chain-
