Hi all,
Good day...
In our environment, for some users they need the print format in PORTRAIT mode and some other users need the print format in LANDSCAPE mode. How is that possible? Can we make those changes in a single server? Because each users system is connected with LOCAL printer. So how can we change with seperate users ?
I done in the following way.
SPAD->Device types->Page Formats->Select the required formats->Change to Portrait/Landscape...
How we define the print settings for each users separately??
Please help...
Regards
Praveen
Hi Praveen.
You can configure the printer using SAP SAPSprint method. single printer two different outputs one in printer1_L - landscape and Printer2_P - portrait. (In both printer you can define the page format based Printer1 landscape and pritner2 - Portrait)
End user can select either one of the printer based on the printing requirement.

Hi Praveen.
1. On windows desktop or any servers install the SAPSPrint and normal printer configuration on the printer either local or network printer - refer the SAP note download the SAPSprint
894444 - Tool for server-based printing on Microsoft Windows (SAPSprint)
2. On SAP system using transaction code SPAD create the two devices.
For example -
Output device name - Printer1_L - printout will be always set landscape.
Output device name - Printer2_P - printout will be always set Portrait. both device pointing to same printer in windows desktop or sever system.

Hello Praveen,
the previously mentioned SAPSPrint solution is for remote server-based printing.
You have mentioned that frontend printing is used here - so let's see if we can change something here.
Open the frontend print options editor tool as SAP KBA #1704243 - "Frontend Print Options Editor" describes, and under tab "SAPWIN Processing" enable the "Portrait Mode Only" flag.
After saving and restarting the SAPGUI, test new spools.
This flag can only be used for a few printout scenarios, so chances are this might not work. In this case: what kind of document will be printed in this scenario? ABAP list, SAPScript / SmartForm or ADS (Adobe Document Services)?
Best regards,
Laszlo
