Material 0 does not exist - SMQ2 ECC

Hello Experts,

I have confirmed WT and Goods Receipt is updated in EWM.

But in ECC it is not updated ,because queue is stuck in SMQ2 of ECC

Material 0 does not exist

Message No. HUSELECT040

Packaging material is created in EWM system .

I believe I have completed all config. in both system.

But curious to know about this issue.

Hi Olet,

Is the packaging material is maintained in the both systems?

And also check the packaging material type number range ( external ) in ECC . EWM HU identification number range ( internal ) should  be the packaging material type external number range.

As per the screen shot ECC system is not identifying the packaging material.

Hello CK,

At beginning I have just maintained packaging material at EWM system and I get the same  issue in ECC inbound queue .

Then I create one more packaging material(external) on both system.

EWM number range is internal while ECC number range is external  maintained.

Our case one ECC system is maintained to multiple EWM system,so there can be some mismatch I feel regarding packaging number range I believe .

Hi Olet,

In EWM, HU number ranges can be assigned at warehouse level.If we want to use same packaging material types across the systems, it would required to maintain external NRs for packaging materials carefully.

Hello CK,

In EWM both packaging material number and its number range is in place.

But I case of ECC we have multiple HU ID number ranges for multiple EWM system.

I am sure due these multiple external number ranges created in ecc confusing the queue coming from EWM.

Hi Olet,

in that case, it is better to maintain the multiple packaging material types in ECC with relevant NRs and mapping those separately across the EWM systems to avoid the confusion.
