Deletion Status in PS Project

Hi All,

We are trying to set Deletion status for the PS Project which is assigned to cProject in PPM.But getting error "Account assignment object is not archivable". cProject has Archived status still unable to set deletion status of corresponding PS Project.

Dear Alex,

it´s not possible to delete the PS project, which has been created from a Project Management project. The correct way would be to set the status "for archiving" also on Project Management project. Then the PS project can also be archived.

You can also try to use transaction IAOCPRC in ERP-system to disconnect the Project Management project from the PS-project.

Dear Alex,

information concerning the archiving process in Projectsystem are available in SAP Note 1108787.

In online documentation further information are available:

Before archiving a PS-project the deletion flag and afterwards the deletion indicator must be set.

That's what we tried and failed due to error "Account assignment object is not archivable" for which we opened this discussion.

Dear Alex,

you have to do the following steps:

- open the Project in Project Management

- set status to: completed

- set status to: flag for archive

- call transaction SARA in the backend of the PPM-PRO system

- select archiving object: CPROJECTS

- create a WRITE- job with the project-ID
- create a DELETE-job with the corresponding archiving file

Then the project isn´t available in table DPR_PROJECT anymore.

- go to the ERP-system where the PS-project is available.

- open the project in cj20n

- revoke status "lock master data"

- set status deletion flag

- start SARA in ERP-system.

- archiving object: PS_PROJECT

- create a Preprocessing job to set the "deletion indicator"

- create a WRITE job with selection "delete from database"

- create a DELETE job

Hi Judith,

We also followed same step but stuck at setting Deletion Flag for PS Project Giving Below error,

-->Account assignment object WBS is not archivable. (PS Project Master Data Lock )

-->Account assignment object WBS is not archivable. (PS Project Master Data Unlock )

And if we Set MDLK for WBS getting Below errors,

-->Account assignment object WBS is not archivable.

-->System status MDLK is active.

Then we tried with other possible statuses like TECO,CLSD etc. but still error remains same.

Dear Alex,

when you select the WBS-element in cj20n the status of the wbs-element is "MDLK" - master

data locked.

You have to revoke the status first:

- Select the WBS-element

- Go via menu: Edit > status > unlock > Master data

You cannot set another status - when MDLK is activated on a wbs-element

WBS element does not have MDLK status active still the same error when We are trying to Set Deletion flag to PS Project.

No costs are booked to the project or WBS. Only it is linked with the cProject.

We came across this note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2134638 and it's implementable in our system, So we will implement this correction. And hope our problem get's resolved.
