Hi Ashutosh,

Yes, based on the dev_w0 file, I have maintained the host name as

ip address  IPRVSAP IPRVSAP.COM

But still getting the same error.

Praveer.

Hi Praveer,

Follow the below steps

- open the cmd

- type the below command

  hostname

check the output.

- run the below command

ping IPRVSAP.domain.name

Paste the output of each command

Also maintain the hostname in hosts file

<IP> IPRVSAP.domain.name  IPRVSAP

then try to start the sap system.

Hi Ashutosh,

I tried with all above option and maintained the IP address and Host Name into hosts file, but still getting the same error.

Is somewhere else or something i am missing to maintained in files.

Praveer.

Hi Praveer,

Please attach new dev_disp and new dev_w* trace file to see if the error is still the same:
NiPGetHostbyName: 'IPRVSAP.domain.name' not found: getaddrinfo
TheSetGwParam :  NiHostToAddr IPRVSAP.domain.name failed

Hi Praveer,

The error "NiPGetHostByName: 'IPRVSAP.domain.name' not found: getaddrinfo" can be caused by wrong hostname resolution settings.
Please check your DNS servers (or operating sistem "hosts" file) and check this hostname resolution. Then, try to start instance again.

Regards,
Raquel
