It does not go into technical detail of how to configure it in the software. Note that this was developed for a customer that did not have the capability to forecast new products with their forecasting system so this was provided as an alternative. But best practice is to model new products in your demand planning solution and feed that forecast into EIS to drive the inventory optimization engine.
