HI,

I think this question is repeating several times ,

read previos questions and close those posts.

When we are integrating the EDI with XI we need seeburger Adapters

Chandra,

I am looking more specific about Seeburger As2&FTP adapters.I know they are used to implement EDI solutions.but my question is in what scenarios we need specific adapters i.e,Seeburger FTP&AS2?in other way for all EDI implementations do we need both FTP and AS2?

let us say,I am getting EDI documents from our partner in one scenario and in another scenario I am getting EDI in file format and in another scenario AS2 documents,so in these cases what adapters we need to use?is it the same way or the implementation(dev) is different for different scenarios?what are the steps involved?

I think I made my question more specific. And I feel we don't have much info about seeburger in SDN.

thank you,

Hi Babu and Chandra,

Both of you are correct in saying that Seeburger Adapters are used for EDI integartions, but the story is a bit different..Let me explain

Seeburger has a tool called BIC Spoke Client which is a B2B software used for data transmision from Trade Partner's side, Now on our end we need a Seeburger Spoke Hub to accept that data, Now Spoke can transmit any kind of data (All kind of EDI, XML, XLS any data) now when the data reaches Spoke Hub we need AS2 Sender adapter, Now your second case if the EDI data is reaching us through a File location then you need a Seeburger FTP adapter.

For conversion of EDI data you need a seeburger specific map deployed as a .sda file and need to be mentioned in Sender adapter(To develop this map Seeburger provides a separate tool called"Seeburger Mapping Designer tool")

We do not have much documentation available on Seeburger as becasue i have not started Blogging :---))))

Piyush,

if our partners want to send both formats then Logically we need both adapter AS2&FTP.right?

And I have another concern,if I have different mappings for each partner is it required to create .sda for each partner (one for each)and deploy it on XI?

thank you,

babu

Hi

Seeburger Adapters are used to Connect the applications which are using Message protocol/Transport protocol as CrossIndustry(payment), VAN, OFTP, AS2(EDIINT), Generic and EDI based applications.
