MRP relevant stocks in APO

Hi,

This is regarding query of inclusion of blocked stock in Heuristics/Optimizer run in SNP.

We have maintained a stock category group in SNP tab in location master which includes blocked stock (CI), however the blocked stock is not selected in available stock tab in product-location master.

In this case will blocked stock will be included in the heuristics/Optimizer run in SNP? We do not want the system to include blocked stock during planning.

Please suggest the behavior of the system.

Hi Mohit,

Do you have any specific requirement to transfer blocked stock to APO? If this is not required for planning then why to transfer the same to APO. You can restrict the same as mentioned in below link

For system behavior just do one round of testing in your system. Make sure you have un-restricted stock, blocked stock & demand for one material greater then total stock. Run heuristic/optimizer and see the results before implementing any solution. I would suggest "the best way to understand is to have some hands on".

Hi Mohit

Ideally the stock consideration mainly happens stock category group in SNP tab in location master.

You can quickly do a small test at your end to confirm it.

Hi Mohit,

In your case, block stock will be considered during heuristics run since you have added in stock category group.

More information:SNP Heuristics will only considers the Stock category group which you have maintained in location master for netting.

Available stock tab in product location master is relevant for CTM/pegging.
