Hi Gurus

We had a power failure on Sunday and our SAP development system went
down.
when power was restored, we tried to bring up the SAP application but we failed. spend all of yesterday looking for solutions.
Our database is up and running (mounted and Open) but it is not
appearing in the SAP MMC please see screenshot from attached document.
When we try to start sap using commands, nothing happens and log files
(dev_w0, dev_icm, stderr0) are not being updated. last they were updated on 02.02.2016. that’s when we restarted the server.

We upgraded the kernel from 742_101 to 742_300 but that did not help.

Please see attached document for screenshots

Please assist

regards

Steven

Dear Steven,

You need to check the profiles properly.

There is problem with your profiles. What is the version of your sap system.

Hi All, the consultants that upgrated the systems to SAP NetWeaver 7.4. removed the start profile from the profile folder.

all i had to do was copy a backed up start profile into the folder and recreate the SAPCND_00 service, pointing it to the start profile

thanks for the assistance

regards

Steven

Hi Steven,

Please check the points listed below:

1. Check the status of SAPSR3 User in the Oracle database.

2. Check the environment variables & registry entries

3. Check the Windows services for Oracle Database, Listener & SAP Services.

4. Check all file system related to SAP & Oracle

Please revert with the status.

Hi,

Try to re-register sapstartsrv service

run it from E:\usr\sap\CND\DVEBMGS00\exe   with the key -r:

sapstartsrv -r

Fill your SID, NR and path to start profile

Dear Steven,

I think ASCS instance is missing on your system. You need to register that.

Hi Steven,

Is your system is on high availability?

Kindly paste the screenshot of your profile folder.

You should have ASCS.

Hi Anatoliy

I did that prevoisly and because you suggested it i tried it again usingh the instance profile and not the start profile since after the upgrade to NetWaver 7.4, i understand that the start profile is nolonger used.

still not luck 😞
