SAP Netweaver Portal Refresh Issue

Dear Experts,

We are running ESS/MSS portal in SAP Netweaver. Facing some refreshing issues-

• In MSS portal the number of pending leave requests showing withing brackets followed by Leave Requests hyperlink is always 0 (zero). When I click the link it shows the line items in the grid below and the number above then changes.
• If I login with a user id and logout, then login with separate user id without closing the browser, previous user's data is picked and displayed from cache. It gets refreshed once I close the browser and re-open.

Please suggest a solution.

Dear Sibasish,

You need to enable the ABAP Security Sessions Enabled' to 'Yes' in the portal system object.

Also you need to activate the logoff service in the backend system.
