Hello,

I have been correcting replication issues between ECC>CRM and vice versa for roughly 3 years. What types of things have you done to reduce the number of replication errors you receive? What are the most common errors you receive? I'm curious to know if our replication numbers are standard within SAP or if we tend to receive more than the norm. Thank you!!

Could you please give some more information about your replication environment?

What is the type of Replication ? (ASE-to-ASE / Heterogenous / Warm Standby or MSA)

What type of replication errors do you receive?  Please provide some error messages or codes.

Assuming you do not get ASE (primary or replicate) specific errors, most common errors would be: "rowcount mismatch" (#5185, #5186) but they always have specific causes

1. Lack of constraints (primary, foreign) - risk of duplicate data

2. Multiple threads (SMP) configuration issuses

3. Triggers enabled on replicate site

4. Datatype mismatch between Primary and Replicate (or wrong datatype mapping for Heterogenous replication)

5. Text /image replication issues

You have to examine transactions which lead to your errors and fix it:

1. Modify DSI/RS threads configuration parameters

2. Add some table repliaction definitions

3. Reconfigure Primary or Replicate DB-s.
