Hi Experts,

We are newly installing saprouter on Windows 2008 R2 standard, 64 bit server, but post router configurations, we are unable to start the sap router.

Kindly help. We are facing the below issue when starting the router.

D:\USR\SAP\saprouter>saprouter -r -S 3299 -K "p:CN=sap-app1, OU=0000034533, OU=SAProuter

, O=SAP, C=DE"

trcfile  dev_rout

no logging active

dev_rout shows the below error:

command line arg 0:saprouter
command line arg 1:-r
command line arg 2:-S
command line arg 3:3299
command line arg 4:-K
command line arg 5:p:CN=sap-app1, OU=0000034533, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE

Hi,

please check whether the user used to run saprouter has sufficient rights on the

d:\usr\sap\saprouter  , and all subdirectories - full control (This folder, subfolder and files)

d:\usr\sap - read & execute

d:\usr - read & execute

d:\ - read & execute

D:\ is hopefully no Network Driveletter!

Check whether dev_rout is modified during the start of saprouter.

If saprouter ist still not running, download procmon from www.sysinternals.com, start it, set the filter to process name is "saprouter.exe", choose drop filtered events and capture filesystem activies during startup of saprouter.exe. If you still can't see what is happening, post the result (procmon trace) here.

best regards

Peter

Hello,

I do not see any error messages at the trace entries you have posted.

What happens after that?

Since you are starting the saprouter manually, I suppose that the command prompt window would be blocked, and as long as you keep that window open the saprouter would work.

If the saprouter is working for as long as you keep that command prompt window open, maybe what you need to do is simply create a service for the saprouter?

Installing the saprouter as a Windows service - ntscmgr command not available - Application Server I...
