Hey

During the update to SPAM Version 23 i got an error.

Now i cannot restart the SPAM Update again and i found follow error on OS400

DSPFD FILE(R3P50DATA/CVERS_SUB)

Uncommitted changes pending for file CVERS_SUB in library R3P50DATA

Message . . . . : Uncommitted changes pending for file CVERS_SUB in library

R3P50DATA.

Cause . . . . . : Uncommitted changes are pending for file CVERS_SUB in

library R3P50DATA for commitment definition .

Recovery . . . : Do one of the following and try your request again:

-- Complete the commitment control process by doing a commit or rollback

for commitment definition .

-- Change the commitment control option and compile the program again.

Technical description . . . . . . . . : The commitment definition identifier

is X'5CD1D6C2404040404040'.

File CVERS_SUB in library R3P50DATA not available.

No file specified as CVERS_SUB in R3P50DATA can be displayed

Now my Question how can i commit this, or should i stop and restart the journaling for this file?

Hi Gerhard,

I had it a few times as well and after searching and hunting longer the first time, I now always do an IPL and this has always helped ...

Now i got the Information that 2 PTF are neccassary to prevent this Error:

SI26497 and SI26911

Thanks for your Comments. It seems that only an IPL will help.

I got a PTF which is similar to my Problem. It's SI26911 which should prevent this error.

Hello Gerhard,

I had similar issue (uncommitted entries in the journal receivers) during SP upgrade years ago. I opened IBM PMR, but it seems that no way to commit that change after R3trans job was finished. I didn't try to stop then restart the journaling. Eventually IPL fixed it.
