How to check if a sap mail has attachement/its attachement has been attached?

Hi,

One of our users send a PR with attachment, but the purchasing department didn't receive the attachment. I want to investigate if the user successfully attached the file on sapmail.

Can I ask where can check if that sapmail has attachment?

Thanks and regards,

Jeremiah Dollente

Hi,

Use transaction SOST, choose interested document and press btn "display document".

If your document has an attachment you can see it in the bottom panel

Hello Jeremiah,

in addition to Anatoliy's (correct) answer, if you want to see whether SOST has really sent the attachments, you can make a MIME-trace.

When the MIME-trace is enabled, SOST saves the data which has been actually sent in the e-mail.

So if you see in the MIME trace similar lines like

"Content-Disposition: attachment;

   filename=<...>"

then chances are "something" has been sent as an attachment.

See SAP KBA #1947273 - "How to save the MIME header for problem analysis?" for details on MIME-tracing.

Best regards,

Laszlo
