Hi Guys,
Will EIS MIPO part of IBP in future ?

Thamizh
Thamizh,
The functionality of EIS has mostly been rewritten to run on a HANA database in the cloud in the IBP for inventory application. Many of the EIS developers have contributed to IBP for inventory and most of the concepts are the same. At this point, there are some functions in EIS on the roadmap for IBP and there is functionality in IBP today that not available in EIS. Note that some of the EIS functions are part of IBP for demand and other IBP applications.

Thamizh,
EIS and IBP for inventory are two separate SAP products that solve the same business problem: inventory optimization. EIS is written on an Oracle db and is designed to be implemented on premise and will remain that way. Here is a link to more about EIS: http://www.sap.com/solution/lob/scm/software/inventory-management/index.html
IBP for inventory is written on the HANA platform and is run in the cloud. The concepts and algorithms that drive the inventory optimization engine are similar between these two products but IBP for inventory integrates seamlessly with the other IBP applications like IBP for demand and IBP for sales and operations. All the IBP solutions use one platform, one database and integration is built in. Even the user interface is the same between the IBP solutions, just the functionality differs.
